What is adsl ?
ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, and this name refers to the fact that upload and download speeds are not the same (downloading is always faster).

DSL, a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines.

Current Problems with NTC ADSL service

NT ADSL service continue to frustrate users with;

Mainlink failure at least once a week.
Frequent disconnection and dropouts.
Slow browsing and page timeouts. 256k=dialup !
Massive Bandwidth fluctuation during office hours.
Impossible connecting to FTP sites to upload your stuffs through FTP programs like CuteFTP, FileZilla etc.
Can’t use rapidshare/megaupload download.
Messenger programs like Yahoo & MSN may not work.
Torrent programs may not work e.g. BitTorrent,Utorrent

Since(10th June) last couple of days the service has gone from bad to worse.

7 July2008 – NTC ADSL still showing no sign of improvement after a month . Subscribers hate the quality of service NTC is providing right now. The service has deteriorated so bad that it goes offline everyday for an hour or two. Browsing is pain in the a$$ inbetween 11am-7pm . No matter how good is your line quality(SNR:30,Attn: 29), it doesn’t help at all. Browser can’t render pages correctly. Everytime you enter the url , you have to reload/refresh the page numerous times until you hit the jackpot.
